In support of Chesapeake Heartland’s mission to preserve, digitize, interpret, and make accessible materials related to African American history and culture, the Starr Center at Washington College will provide over the next three years:

  • Internships for Washington College students;

  • Washington College Staff & Faculty Fellowships;

  • Community Curation Fellowships;

  • and Internships for local high-school students.

Community members, Washington College students, and Washington College staff and faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate with others to preserve and interpret African American history and culture in the Kent County region.
