Grace Lindsay
Grace Lindsay is a sophomore at Kent County High School. She became interested in the Hip Hop Time Capsule internship, coming from a musical family herself. From this experience, she hoped to expand her horizon and better understand the people around her. Grace has been playing saxophone for four years and is always willing to try something new, especially given the chance to collaborate with many talented individuals. When she is not interning, she works at a local cafe in Rock Hall. Grace is also very passionate about helping her community - from beach cleanups to packing food bags for the needy.
Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace was picked out by my friend Amaya (Maya Papaya), but it fit well with the program because many folks we have interviewed have defined the Kent County sound as Gospel and for those of you who don’t know, Amazing Grace is a gospel song and a braggadocio rap.
