Norris Commodore ('73)

After integrating Chestertown High School in 1965, Norris Commodore ’73 became one of the first local African American students to attend Washington College, where he played on both the soccer and track teams.

The summer after his junior year, he completed an internship at a computer company in Harrisburg, PA that launched his career as a system engineer at IBM, where he continues to work today. Norris also serves on Washington College’s Board of Visitors and Governors.
