Dr. Ruth Shoge
Dr. Ruth Shoge worked at Washington College’s Miller Library for nearly 30 years, first as the Reference and Instruction Librarian, and later as Director of Miller Library, before becoming Dean of Library and Academic Technology. As an informal mentor and advisor for Cleopatra’s Daughters, Dr. Shoge was a pillar of support for many students of color at the college.
Dr. Shoge retired from her position at Washington College in 2018, but has remained active in the Chestertown community and the Chesapeake Heartland Project through her position as the First Vice President on the Board of Directors at Sumner Hall.
