Shola Akinbobla

Shola is from Montgomery County Maryland and is a recent Washington College graduate. She majored in political science and minored in business and philosophy. She is very passionate about social justice, equality and policy. In terms of aspirations, she soon will attend law school and begin a career in law. Such artists as Nicki Minaji, Rihanna, and Beyoncé have influenced her as they are the main artists she listened to growing up, especially Beyoncé, because her mom is a big fan. Recently, she has had a major interest in afro beat music as it is very soothing to her. She’s very excited about the Hip Hop Time Capsule to be able to express herself through music, learn about the local Chestertown history, and portray a positive message through her work. So far, she’s already learned better techniques for writing and creating music.
