This 1794 map from the Library of Congress shows the area from which Binah escaped: Dixon’s (Tavern) near Sadler’s (Sudlersville), as well as New Market in Kent County (present-day Chesterville), where she had formerly been enslaved, and "Simms's," where she was believed to be hiding.
